Choose essential storage only, or allow optional analytics. You can open this choice again from the footer at any time. Changing it does not change your email preferences.

What keeps the app working

RoomieFinder and Firebase Authentication use browser storage to keep you signed in and coordinate sign-in across tabs. The server session cookie expires with the sign-in token and is refreshed while the session remains valid.

The app also remembers your cookie choice, search settings and unfinished forms. Private drafts are separated by account. Your browser may retain local storage until you clear it; closing a tab clears session storage.

If you request account deletion, a private cookie lets this browser check progress after your sign-in is disabled. That status cookie lasts up to 30 days. Preparing it alone does not start deletion.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, the rebuilt app uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for public-page usage and performance. Search query values are stripped. Account, profile-detail, room-detail, message, group, report, deletion and admin pages are excluded from this analytics integration.

Analytics is disabled throughout the local test preview. The rebuilt app does not load the old Google Analytics integration.

Your browser has controls too

You can remove cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Clearing essential storage may sign you out, remove unfinished forms or remove access to a deletion status page.
