How RoomieFinder works

A room. Your people. The details that matter.

RoomieFinder is a free pilot for finding rooms and people to share a home with. It helps you compare what people choose to share; it cannot predict whether living together will work.

Start with a room or with people.

Browse rooms to compare the space, cost, dates and household. Browse housemates to meet people who are also searching. You can save either while you decide.

Explore Amsterdam or explore Madrid for a current preview and local planning resources.

Matching starts with information you share.

Search filters use your selected city, budget, currency, timing and available household preferences. Public profiles and room details show the information their authors have supplied. Compatibility details can help you spot things to discuss; they are not an identity check, a background check or a promise of a good match.

Missing answers are unknown. Ask about important gaps instead of assuming agreement. A matching budget does not establish that a room is affordable for you, and a shared habit does not tell the whole story.

Availability needs a fresh confirmation.

A profile or room normally needs the owner’s availability confirmation within the past 30 days to appear in discovery. Owners can pause or close their search earlier. Saving unrelated edits does not renew this period.

Some earlier pilot profiles are temporarily carried over with a clear “Not recently confirmed” label. They are not presented as freshly confirmed. Always check the dates with the person, even when an item appears in your search.

Email confirmation checks an inbox.

“Email confirmed” means access to the account’s email inbox was confirmed. It does not verify legal identity, background, property ownership or the accuracy of a listing. Listers confirm permission to advertise and the accuracy of their information. A moderation review is not a property inspection or a guarantee.

Contact starts with a request.

Introduce yourself through the contact flow. The other person can decide whether to accept before you exchange messages. Group membership also requires accepting an invitation. Reports, blocks and moderation tools are available when something is wrong.

RoomieFinder does not collect rent or deposits. Arrange viewings and agree terms directly, check the details yourself, and read the safety and support guide before committing.

A personally operated, free pilot.

Iker operates RoomieFinder. Questions about the pilot can go to snyder@roomiefinder.com. This is an early service; neither a room nor a successful housemate match is guaranteed.
